The Single Section Digital Axle Counter SSDAC Singal section axle counter is generally used to monitor a single track section i.e. there is only one entry point and one exit point for a particular track section.
Examples of applications of axle counters are:
The SSDAC-710P uses its track sensors on each end of a track section to continuously monitor and count the train axles passing in and out of that section. If the number of axles in the section is zero and there are no defects or disturbances, the system declares the section to be unoccupied. This is typically signaled by picking up a relay. In all other cases, the system declares that the section is occupied and the relay is dropped. This system works with two detection points only.
Fail-safe 2x2oo2 microcontroller-based axle counting system for the High Availability section proving in Railways. It can be configured to various versions using a fool-proof method thus prevents the wrong configuration at the site, ensures the highest degree of safety. An operating mode like preparatory, clear and occupied, configuration status, wheel counts and error messages are constantly displayed on the system LCD status panel and interactive Reset box.
Dual Redundant Magnetic sensors detect the axle counts and direction of train movements that are transmitted to the other end of the system to verify and clear the block. Wheel sensed at one DP will clear at any DP. The section status can be fed directly to further controlling systems through vital relay contacts. Each section has two or three detection points based on configurations. The system unit is housed near the track with its DP placed at a variable distance of 15 Mts.

Telecom equipment such as SDH Equipment, Multiplexers, Routers etc are mounted on these racks. Nineteen-inch racks in two-post or four-post form hold most equipment in modern data centers, ISP facilities, and professionally designed corporate server rooms. They allow for dense hardware configurations without occupying excessive floors pace or requiring shelving. These racks are also covered with a Tuffened Glass Pane with a secured locking system.
Terminal blocks are used to secure and/or terminate wires and, in their simplest form, consist of several individual terminals arranged in a long strip. Terminals are useful for connecting wiring to the ground or, in the case of electrical power, for connecting electrical switches and outlets to the mains.
Tag Blocks are used for Terminating cables. These are placed on the Relay Racks and are made of Polycarbonate materials. The most commonly size is 200 way
Modular rail-mount terminal blocks are ideal for both custom- and ready-made terminal strips for panel mounting applications. These terminal blocks can be mounted via screw flanges, snap-in feet for mounting holes, or for assembly onto aluminum carrier rails.
It is used for securing the Level Crossings which are interlocked with signals in such a manner that a signal leading to the crossing cannot be cleared for a train unless the crossing is closed and locked against road traffic
An electrical point machine is an electrically driven motor used for the operation of points in railway yards. The gear rack drives switch rails to unlock, change the position from N to R or R to N, and lock the switch at the end of the stroke.

The battery has excellent reserve capacity and robust in construction. It is manufactured in both Hard Rubber and in PPCP hermetically heat-sealed containers with rang from 40 Ah to 500 Ah.
VRLA batteries for Railway applications come in 2V single cells assembled in modular racks. These racks are mounted horizontally and can be stacked one above the other. These batteries come in factory-filled charged and ready to use condition. These batteries provide maintenance-free operation envisaging Indian Railway's extreme hazardous operating conditions. In normal use, these batteries will not release Hydrogen & Oxygen gases, will not release acid mist, and will not spill acid. Thus these batteries are inherently safer than conventional lead-acid batteries.
In Metal to Metal Relays, all front and back contact are of Metal Proved relays are metal-to-metal relays in which all the contacts are made of silver, and as such, there is a possibility of their fusing together due to high sparking currents across them during make/break. To prevent this, the normalization of relays is each operation is proved in the circuit.
These Relays are typically called Q Series Type and have Metal to carbon Contact. Coding is needed on the relay to avoid interchangeability with relay of different contact configuraon. These relays normally Operate on 12, 24 or 50V DC and can be provided with a max. of 16 independent contacts.
The Earth Leakage Detector (ELD) is ELD, this equipment connuously monitors the insulaon of a cable with respect to the Earth. Electric Liing Barriers are used to control the road traffic, across the Railway lines. When compared with the exisng manually operated gates, these gates are modern and easy to operate. These gates consume very low power. A small hand generator can produce the power required for both barriers by simply rotang a crank at 50 to 60 RPM. These barriers can also be lied individually with a direct crank handle with a minimum effort . The ELB comprises of an electric motor, operang mechanism, circuit controller, manually operated hand generator, road signals, audible device, boom etc.
Lifting Barrier gate is an important safety device, installed on both sides of the Railway track in parallel at level crossings. It warns the road traffic by its bell gong and checks the movement of the traffic at the me of train passing through track. It prevents accidents between train and road vehicles.

The Indian Railways is working on the utilization on of RFID for the betterment of transportation and signal handling. When waves from the reader fall on a passive RFID tag, the coiled antenna within the tag starts to induce the magnetic field. The tag draws power from it, and forwards it to the circuits in the tag.
